ELOPEMENT FAQ

When is the best time to elope in the Dolomites?
  • June–mid-July → wildflowers, alpine lakes thawed, quieter trails
  • Late Sept–mid-Oct → golden larches, crisp air, dramatic light
  • Avoid August (crowds + heat) and November–April unless you want a snow adventure
Will there be crowds?

Sunrise solves 90% of the problem — it’s the best way to enjoy privacy and soft light. Mid-season weekdays are also ideal. The Dolomites is not a place to elope at 3 pm in August. Worst-case, I can edit people out of the background, and some locations even offer private early-morning access for photos.

What happens if there is bad weather?

There is no such thing as bad weather - only different kinds of atmosphere. The Dolomites are moody and dramatic, and that’s part of their magic. Cloud and fog create soft cinematic light, wind adds movement and emotion. I always plan with full flexibility with backup timings and alternate locations if visibility becomes unsafe or impossible.

What should we wear or bring?

Some spots allow you to start the day already in your wedding dress, while others involve carrying your outfit and changing once we arrive. For short walks or gentle uphill trails, hiking boots are essential for safety and comfort. Don’t forget your travel documents such as passport or ID card, and an international driver’s license if you plan to rent a car.

Do we have to hike?

NOT AT ALL! Hiking is not everyone’s thing (I totally get it — I don’t love hiking either, but I do love a breathtaking view!). Most iconic Dolomites locations are easily accessible, and I don’t offer long or intense hikes. I’m happy to walk up to 1 hour on easy trail if needed. From experience, carrying big dresses and managing hair and makeup in wind or heat can become difficult and uncomfortable — so I always prioritise the perfect balance between BEAUTY AND COMFORT. And yes, cable car or helicopter options are absolutely possible too.

Can we legally get married in Italy?

Sometimes. But it’s often complex. Most couples handle the legal paperwork at home, then have a heartfelt vow ceremony in the Dolomites.

Will you book vendors or activities for us?

I can recommend trusted local vendors and unique experiences, but I do not directly book on your behalf. I guide, connect and help curate while you stay fully in control.

What about traditions like walking down the aisle or first dance?

Eloping doesn’t mean skipping tradition! You can include anything meaningful: first look, vow or letter reading, ring bearer, champagne pop, first dance, a private dinner or even helicopter ride to the mountaintop.

How long does it take to receive the photos?

Preview gallery within 10 days. Full gallery within 4-6 weeks (often sooner depending on season).

Do you deliver raw unedited images?

I don’t deliver raw files — every photograph is intentionally refined to reflect the cinematic and emotionally honest aesthetic I’m known for. Raw files are just the starting point. The true magic is in the careful curation and subtle editing that tells your story in a timeless way.

When is an assistant needed and do you offer one?

Absolutely — a professional assistant can accompany us to ensure every detail flows seamlessly. From rowing the boat at Lago di Braies, carrying your wedding dress, preparing a styled picnic or scenic setup, to discreetly capturing authentic BTS moments on iPhone, they help make your experience effortless and joyful. This service is available for elopements or surprise proposals, with support starting from €50/h.

Are additional location fees included?

Any additional costs such as cable cars, parking, or entrance tickets are not included in the packages. These are considered extras and will depending on the locations we select for your elopement or proposal.
